NEIGHBOURHOODS
CAMBORNE
Camborne sits between Plimmerton and Whitby, overlooking the Pauatahanui Inlet. It’s quieter and more residential than Plimmerton, but still very close to the coast and Mana amenities.
Alot of locals like it because it feels tucked away while still being handy to everything.
What I love:
▣ Large homes and sections
▣ Inlet and harbour views
▣ Quiet streets
▣ Strong sun in many parts
▣ Established family housing
▣ Good access to both SH59 and Transmission Gully

Mel guided us through the process with ease. She is extremely professional and a fantastic communicator – Kerry & Nicola, Camborne

AOTEA
Aotea is one of Porirua’s newer and more premium suburbs, sitting on the hills above central Porirua with wide views across the harbour, inlet and out toward Mana Island. A lot of people see it as a modern family suburb with bigger executive-style homes and a strong community feel.
Development really took off in the late 1990s and 2000s, so compared with older parts of Porirua, much of the housing stock is relatively modern. You’ll find:
What I love:
▣ Large family homes
▣ Contemporary builds
▣ Brick and weatherboard homes
▣ Architectural designs
▣ Higher-spec finishes
▣ Multi-level homes designed for views and sun

Mel is Fantastic! She’s down to earth, friendly & open – Jorgen & Megan, Whitby
WHITBY
I grew up in Paremata and moved to Whitby when I was 9, so I’ve known the area most of my life.
Whitby is one of Porirua’s larger suburbs, sitting around the southern edge of the Pauatahanui Inlet. It was master-planned from the late 1960s, which is why it feels quite different to older Wellington suburbs. The streets are wider, there are loads of cul-de-sacs, reserves, walkways and that strong nautical theme with names like Navigation Drive, Spinnaker Drive and The Crowsnest.
A lot of locals see Whitby as a very family-focused suburb. It’s known for:
What I love:
▣ Bigger homes and sections compared with inner Wellington
▣ Good schooling options nearby
▣ Being part of a welcoming, family-friendly community
▣ Parks, lakes and walking tracks
▣ A quieter suburban feel
▣ Easy access north via Transmission Gully
▣ Strong owner-occupier market

We sold our house for us earlier this year and we couldn't have been more impressed - she was friendly, helpful and incredibly hardworking. Thanks Mel! Paula & William, Plimmerton Vendors

PLIMMERTON
Plimmerton is one of Porirua’s most sought-after coastal suburbs. It has a real seaside village feel, with cafés, a beach, boat club, train station and local shops all centred around the waterfront.
It’s one of those places where people walk around barefoot in summer and everyone seems to know each other.
What I love:
▣ The beach lifestyle
▣ Train access into Wellington
▣ Cafés and village atmosphere
▣ Strong schooling options nearby
▣ Character homes mixed with modern rebuilds
▣ Water views and sunsets

"Buy and Sell with Mel… we have done both and both buying and selling our home was seamless. Mel has a wealth of knowledge; she is kind and extremely honest. We have just sold in this very unpredictable time, and her sense of humour along with her guidance has been such a blessing. We live in Tauranga, she went the extra mile to help out with things that we just couldn’t have done. We can’t thank Mel enough for working so hard and getting a great result!
